The Great Commission

16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28: 16-20

The KBA Dollar Day offering is taken up in February every year in all of the churches in the KBA (Kaskaskia Baptist Association) and is used to fund local missionaries. This means that 100% of the money given to this supports people who live in our area and have a call to serve on the mission field. These local missionaries travel representing our KBA Association and local churches to work and teach people of the love of Jesus. It is the essence of carrying out the Great Commission.

          If you are unable to travel to far lands to do mission work, you can do it local and can give to support this great cause and send the blessing and word of God forward through the calling He has placed on our local missionaries. No gift is too small for God to use and no person too unimportant to matter to God.

There is an old gospel song we sing occasionally that sums up why we send the light!  The light shines in the darkness of this present world through the presentation of the gospel. We do it because Jesus told us to, and He was our example in all things. We do it because, “there are souls to rescue, there are souls to save.” We encourage our Eternity members to support the KBA Dollar Day Offering for the love of Christ and for the love of the people Jesus came to die for.
